Library Services

Everything we do for you, inside the library or out

Circulation Services

Our purpose here at the library is to make information and resources available to our patrons.  To that end, we offer a variety of items for checkout (see the list below under The Library's Collection).  Books check out for three weeks; movies, music, games, magazines and catalogs check out for one week.  If we do not have the item you need, we will make every effort to borrow it from another library through the Michigan eLibrary Catalogue (MeLCat) or intra-library loan from another state.

During June and July, the Summer Reading Program offers prizes for reading to children of all ages and adults.

Reference Assistance

The library has a reference area for researching various medical, legal, economic and social issues.  Our staff is also prepared to help you take advantage of the Michigan eLibrary (MeL) which contains an extensive array of databases and websites for conducting research on any issue.  There is a link to MeL elsewhere on our website.

Community Spaces in the Library

The library has a meeting room that is used by the Library Board for monthly meetings and is available for groups to reserve.  There are also numerous quiet areas around the library where patrons can meet for discussion or study.
